MEDIOCRE, AND PROUD
Being generally average is good in most cases!
The constant striving to be better do better
Or just do….
Be average
Sounds counter intuitive?
Get the context and the bigger picture.
A rat race is always about
Faster, higher, better, more, some more.
Each shoe shinier than the other!
In our quest for this eternal brilliance,
We focus only on what shows
Check the back of the shoe,
Dirty as ever!
Are we in this race for ourselves,
Or to show to others that we are better?
Who decides what is good?
Why not be average,
In the eyes of the world?
Average doesn’t mean settling for less,
It is in defining and being Original,
on your own terms.
Create for self
Be happy whatever the result
Aiming for average then means
We focus on consistency in creation.
Why try and meet someone else’s standards
When we can create ours
Action counts
Add a sprinkle of your originality
Eliminate comparison and attempts to be the best
You will be one anyways!
Mediocre isn’t weakness.
It’s freedom. It’s consistency.
It’s creation on your terms.
Average isn’t a limitation.
Average is your steady baseline.
From that floor, you build anything.
The Psychology of Shameless Creativity
Average Anchoring Effect: Once you define “average” on your own terms, external comparisons lose power. You create without borrowed yardsticks.
Consistency Dividend: Creativity compounds not from rare flashes of brilliance, but from steady output. Mediocrity is the floor that fuels breakthroughs.
Ego Deactivation: By embracing “average,” you switch off the crippling need to impress. Free the brain to play, risk, and persist.
(An average click. Yet, so many possible interpretations. To each, his/her own!)
