AN AUDIENCE THAT DOESN’T EXIST

(YET)

What if we turn things on its head?

Haven’t we heard that a movie flopped
Because it was way ahead of its time
Achieving a cult status years after its release
Perhaps it was made for a future audience.

We create for a specific target group
In our minds, at least
We want to be liked and loved by that segment
While the fears of ridicule and trolling sometimes stop us.

What if we demolish some myths

That of future haters and imaginary goalkeepers
What if we create for an audience
That is perhaps not even born.

The universe is funny and ironic at times
Conniving to get two hearts together
Like a book landing up in sight
Just the medicine I needed at that moment

A stranger crossing our path,
And becoming a bridge for greater things for you to achieve.

Wander, dream and let your work out into the ether
Those who need to find you, will.

Our job then, is to work on what we do best.

Create.
